We interviewed four roofing companies, all chosen from Angie's List. Moore Construction's estimate was somewhat lower than the other three companies but that is not why we chose them. We had worked with them once before when we had new gutters put on our house. That was a very good experience done extremely well. Moore's representative, Luis, came to our house to see what needed to be done. He was extremely helpful in explaining the various issues regarding the house and garage roofs. We had two major concerns, one was the steepness of our house's roof and the limited access to the roof due to the close proximity of houses on either side of ours. The other and more concerning issue was taking every precaution not to disturb or cause any damage to our neighbors' properties. We received our estimate within one week. The estimate was very clear and understandable giving all the details of what needed to be done. On the day that the crew arrived Luis introduced us to the crew. He then asked to meet our neighbor. He introduced himself to her and explained what needed to be done and assured her that all work that would be affecting her property would be done with the utmost care. She was very satisfied with his explanation and we were very appreciative of this extra measure. Every day the crew always cleaned up everything extremely well. The crew arrived every morning promptly and worked very hard despite our steep and difficult to get to roof. The work site was completely cleaned after every day. We received daily calls from Michael Moore to discuss the progress of the work and explain the steps as they occurred. These calls were very helpful and informative. Mike's concern for the successful completion of our project was very evident. The end result was that we now have beautiful, new roofs on our house and garage. The quality of their work exceeds all of our expectations and the extra efforts they took to assure our neighbor that the work would be done safely and without any disturbance to her really was a great relief to us. The finished project cost approximately $15,000. A very reasonable price for the best results we could ask for. Michael Moore runs an excellent company. Communication was excellent. Any question I had was immediately answered. Work began on the day I was told and was finished exactly on time. Clean up was thorough leaving my place and neighbors place spotless of debris. The crew are all professionals that have a long history with the company. It is clear they take great pride in their work. I highly recommend them without any hesitation.

This spring we identified a serious need for a new roof on our house and garage. We also have had periodic problems with squirrels entering the attic through the wood on the soffit and fascia. The last time we had a roof installed we used a contractor with whom we had multiple issues. So we sought a reliable contractor to manage the entire project. A few years ago we had used Moore Construction to install larger gutters more appropriate to the needs of the house and to promote water flow away from the foundation. We had a very good all-around experience with Michael and his crew. While we looked at other contractors, we chose Moore once again for this new project. He quickly made an appointment to do his assessment, then generated a bid that was both complete and reasonable. Within two weeks of our signing off on the contract, Michael was able to schedule his crew to start the work. The crew was punctual, professional and hard-working. Crew Supervisor Luis was cordial and was able to offer explanations for any questions we had. They completed the work quickly and efficiently. They even re-positioned our rain barrel and installed a new downspout to align with the rain barrel opening. The quality of the roof and soffit/fascia is outstanding and the house and garage have never looked better. We're more secure now with a squirrel-free attic. We also compliment Michael's office manager Joan, who along with Michael was always responsive and cordial in processing our work, by phone and by email. We would definitely use Moore Construction again, and recommend them to others.
